You know the drill, get to cleaning ! The spring went through the parts washer.
Inspect and evaluate all parts, paint to suit your pallet. I prefer to duplicate
the original appearance whenever possible.


Please note, this car is being constructed with an original type driver theme.
Because this is not a restoration, detail of components have been held to lowered
standard, this will equate to a savings of cost. As each sub-assembly is being serviced,
every part recieves attention.


Mount the spring seat, leave the nuts good and loose at this time. Zert fittings
and grease.
Slip the upper insulator onto the coil spring.
Cleaning/ inspection and painting of this area took less than an hour. Cost to
clean up this area? About twenty-five dollars.


Loosley mount upper '' A'' into position, install spring and compressor. Carefully
lift arm with a prybar, reinsert spacer to hold at ride height. Put ball joint through
spindle, tighten, cotterpin. Re-install shims,tighten upper arm mounting nuts.
