1973 Cougar XR7 HAS SOLD!
Not For Sale!
By the mid 1970's Cougars had
evolved into a ''midsize'' car that was built for luxury and power. This is a stirling
example of Ford's strategy to build a car for the upscale segment of the car buying
public which there was no chance of competition from overseas manufactures.
A total of only 3,166 Cougar XR7 Convertibles were produced in 1973, the last
year of the Ford built convertible for many years.
This low milage example is loaded with factory options including a healthy 2v
351 cu inch engine, automatic transmission, power steering, pwr disc brakes, pwr
convertible top, pwr windows, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, guage package
which includes a factory tachometer, AM/FM radio and white leather interior.
Rarely driven, this beautiful
rust free native California cruiser spent the majority of it's existence comfortably
tucked away in a garage, like a time capsule!
Custom stitched new white leather now graces the original comfortable hi-back
bucket seats, while the original embossed Cougar insignia's were retained to assure
a showroom fresh appearance. Recent professionally replaced white convertible top
This light blue XR7 Convertible has been repainted in the past, and wears a few
minor blemishs and dings which are common on cars of this vintage.
Engine and engine bay's condition is remakable with even the original decals
and stickers still intact!
Original factory invoice included!
