February 12, 1974 was when I sold my
old '60 T-bird and purchased my '69 Fastback (for $900). I had turned eight-teen
less than a month before aquiring this retired Berkley Holiday Rental Car from Rick
Sewell.
Later that year, I pulled the engine at home and completely rebuilt it's 302,
at Redding's Shasta College.
My occupation? Bicycle repairman and clerk at an old ''Mom&Pop '' style sporting
goods store in Anderson, Ca.
Picture is from June 1974.
I cared for and drove this Mustang until the late 1980's, when I traded it for
a nice '66 fastback with a 351w.
In retrospect, this was a car I should have kept.
