Sports Slats, and plush interior, the new Mach 1 was a sight to behold. The blackout
hood treatment reduced road-glare for the serious drivers benefit.

Ford was now running in direct competition with Shelby in this, the final year
of the Shelby Mustang production. To clarify this statement, unsold 1969 Shelbys
received minor modifications then re-numbered and sold as 1970 models.
